What are the 8 key areas?

Lip augmentation is a non-surgical procedure that is performed under local anaesthetic by Dr Sarah Hall a fully qualified dentist with over 12 years’ experience in cosmetic treatments.

Two areas around the cheek bone structure: A small amount of volume in the area enhances the cheekbones and often aids to lift the Nasolabial folds.

Tear trough and mid-face: Reduces the appearance of tired hollows under the eye area. If you have noticed significant hollows you may need additional product with a softer, more flexible dermal filler to help with this. Ask your practitioner if this additional treatment is right for you.

Nasolabial fold adjacent to nose: This area often depends with age, so adding volume here can give you a more youthful appearance. Some people do suit Nasolabial folds, while others it is due to aging and dermal fillers can be a benefit to the patient.

Mouth Corners: The downturning of the mouth with age gives the appearance of a ‘Down Frown’ that can cause the patients to look sad or bitter. Creating some support with dermal fillers can not only lift the face but make patients look happier too!

Prejowl area: Loss of volume in the Jaw, Cheek and Chin areas can all contribute to jowl formation, so replacing volume in the hollow along the jawline, along with the other areas of the â€˜8 point lift’, can help to reduce or improve jowls.

Jawline: As we age, we lose the squareness or angle of the jaw. This helps to lift and support the lower face as the lower face starts to fall forward, contributing to jowls and sagging. A subtle enhancement of the angle of the jaw can help lift the treated areas. If you have significant loss of volume in this area you may require more product and different techniques to get the best results.

Lower cheek and buccal area: Hollowing of the Buccal area can contribute to the ‘accordion’ smile lines and can make patients without treatment look gaunt. While treating this area with filler can help with and improve the natural curve and structure of the cheek.

What products are used?

As always I use the best quality dermal fillers on the market, in the case of the 8 Point Lift, in particular Restylane Volume. Relatively small quantities of product are used to produce impressive results.

Is there any downtime?

Not only is there no downtime associated with this treatment so you can carry on your day as normal, the results are natural-looking and subtle, with immediate effect.

How Is the treatment administered?

The treatments follow a detailed pre-treatment consultation.

Your consultation starts with a discussion about the look you wish to achieve. Sarah will advise you which treatments will be most effective at helping you reach your goals. If you decide to proceed I will make a detailed recording of your medical history and conduct a careful examination of your face.

After cleansing the skin, Sarah will inject small amounts of dermal filler in 8 strategic points on your face. The needle used is extremely fine and most clients experience only minimal discomfort.

The entire 8 Point Lift treatment takes about 30 minutes. The results will be instantly visible and will settle down a little over 2-3 days.

Following the treatment there may be minimal redness. Bruising is uncommon. There is no downtime and clients continue with their normal day.

How does the 8 point lift work?

Is the 8 point facelift right for me?

Have an active infection at site of injection
Have alcohol in your system: the injections are more likely to give you bruises
Are pregnant
Are breastfeeding

How long with the treatments last?

Depending on the individual results can last on average up to 12-18 months, However touch up treatments may be required to achieve and maintain your desired look and appearance.

What are the side effects and risks?

Bruises, lumps and swelling can occur but these tend to disappear within 3-7 days. You can return to work straight away after the procedure and are advised to avoid vigorous physical activity for 48 hours after the treatment.
